…the boys will play !
They’ll be hell to pay tomorrow when these guys miss the last shuttle home!

Sooner or later and living in London I guess it had to happen !
Yep someone managed to steal my Canon G9 out of my bag and of course I didn’t notice until I went to use it. Luckily the transport police have been great and my insurance company have been even better so I should have a replacement G9 before the weekend.. Now “that” is great service, unlike the light fingered pikey that has my camera…
However it does have my Eye-Fi card it so if they take a photo and are near and open wifi spot then my Flickr account is going to get a very nice surprise. Pity I don’t have the one with a GPS included.
I wait in hope…

Day one of “Blaster Awareness” never gets off to a good start.
Don’t worry Number 4 will be fine it’s just a flesh wound.

Since I bought Panda back from Hong Kong for Schubert he takes it everywhere, however now it looks like it might be damaged beyond repair and he’s not looking happy…

don’t know when I’ll be back again. If you don’t know this classic Janis Joplin track then listen to it on my Muxtape at http://aboycalledlee.muxtape.com
Well that’s it! This is my Hong Kong adventure over and it’s now time to get on the 747 back to London where they tell me it’s cold and wet ( very very wet ) .
I’m going to leave you with this shot from HK and remind you to pop over to my main Flickr stream to see all the HK Images.
I don’t know if I’ll be coming back to HK any time soon but it’s certainly made an impression on me, so I leave you with the Chinese Bank Building in down town Wan Chai.
Well these two images were a bit epic for a few reasons.
1) They are by far the largest images I have edited. Each image is made up of 9 shots and this makes them 4.5 meters wide, and when you are editing and layering that in Photoshop I can only thank God I have a Mac
2) These images are all HDR. I took 3 images of the same shot with differing apertures ( so -2/0/+2 ) and then blended them. Once this was done I then stitched them together in Photoshop and tweaked the layers.
3) File size for the 100% full 300dpi Jpgs were coming out at 20Mb so for Flickr I reduced them to 72dpi and 1280×3575.
Enjoy
North Hong Kong & Kawloon from the Bay

North Hong Kong & Kawloon from HK Peak

Tonight’s shoot went pretty well but you never know what you’ve got till you get back and start editing.
I’ve got hundreds of images to go through but here are a few that have got me stoked so far ..

OK I just had to post this. While out shopping today for a real ( as in not fake ) Sandisk IV memory card I was in what appears to be the most expensive shopping centre in the world.
From afar i spotted this little bit of furniture which I thought was pretty cool until I caught the price tag of $133760HK.. I ran away like a girl !

There are LOTS of signs in HK telling you what you can and can’t do. A lot of them threaten fines for wrong doing or non compliance. Then rather than a “Keep off the grass” sign they put this , which I rather like :

Not a lot going on right now as I’ve just come back to bed after getting breakfast… Anyway here is a shot i took yesterday. Pretty disappointed with most of the images as the sky over HK is just grey and lacks any definition at all.
So here’s an awful photo edited to make less awful… Enjoy
